Dallasites love to shop, and this city satisfies their addiction. There’s no way to list all the incredible stores without missing one, but this list should get you headed in the right direction. Just go out and wander. You’ll need our Valet to help you haul the spoils back to your room for a rejuvenating nap or soak in the tub.

North Oak Cliff – 5 minute drive… southeast
This is our “hood”, and it’s full of unique shops, galleries and restaurants. No big stores or chains here, just independent entrepreneurs… Tillman’s Corner Restaurant & Club, Hunky’s Hamburgers, Oak Cliff Mercantile, Bishop Street Market, Hattie’s American Bistro, Vera Cruz Café, Bishop Arts Floral, Decorazon Gallery, Zola’s Everyday Vintage, Cosmo Rouge Bistro and Lounge (live jazz), and many more.

Downtown – 5 minute drive… east
Neiman-Marcus, this is the real one… the first one. Have a great lunch in the original Zodiac Room and shop six 6 floors of a retail legend.

Discover upscale shopping at Victory Park – a recently built $3 billion development in the heart of downtown. From clothing for the hip and young at Quicksilver and G-star to boutique fashion lines such as James Perse and Chip & Pepper – there is always something new to find. There are plenty of great dining options too.

Oak Lawn – 10 minute drive… north
Another Dallas neighborhood chocked full of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. There are a number of gay and lesbian nightclubs along Cedar Springs Rd… and a g/l bookstore, too.

The West Village – 15 minute drive… north
Ralph Lauren, Borders Books & Music, Banana Republic, Dog Specialties, Ann Taylor Loft, Cowboy Cool, Tommy Bahama, Octane, Legacy Trading Company, Starbucks, Taco Diner, Tom Tom Asian Grill and Sushi Bar… and more than 25 other shops and restaurants… plus one of Dallas’ premier independent film theatres, The Magnolia Theatre.

Knox-Henderson 15 minute drive… north
Apple Store, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Design Within Reach, Pottery Barn, Sur La Table, Smith and Hawken, Chuy’s, Starbucks, On the Border… and dozens of other shops and restaurants. It’s really all here.

NorthPark Center 15-20 minute drive… north
This is Mecca. You name it, it’s here. We think that this is the finest mall in the country… Neiman-Marcus, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Macy’s, Barney’s New York––more than 235 distinctive stores and restaurants including an unmatched collection of stores representing the best of the best in luxury retail and market exclusives. And for the art lover, NorthPark is practically a museum itself, with it world-class art and sculpture collection exhibited throughout the center and its grounds. NorthPark Center’s world-class collection includes major works by renowned artists including Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Jim Dine, Jonathan Borofsky, James Rosenquist, Claes Oldenburg and others.

Highland Park Village 15-20 minute drive… north
Anthropology, Ann Taylor, Starbucks, Williams-Sonoma, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Banana Republic, more shops, theatres and an original Tom Thumb grocery store.
